Career and Technical Education Center (CTEC) at Fairplex provides career and technical education in a hands-on learning environment. Students are taught by both professional educators and people working in industry in our “classroom without walls” on the Fairplex grounds. They learn at the work site as well as in the classroom, building a strong foundation of work skills. CTEC operates under the auspices of the Los Angeles County Fair Association in partnership with Fairplex Education Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation.

To raise public awareness and funds that will allow us to take an in-depth look into the lives of homeless youth in America today. The Gen Why Foundation was created in unison with the documentary, Generation Why? The film will not only inform and educate all Americans about the issues facing our youth, but it will inspire them to care and ACT. We will use the influence of the film to create strategic alliances with non-profits, companies, educators, physicians, athletes, artists, and anyone else interested in contributing to our efforts.

To build confidence and promote self-sufficiency for homeless and runaway youth by providing trust, hope, support, and education. No one is a lost cause! We will design a program to help youth exit street life and develop life skills. Our goal is to take the youth from the street to employment to becoming self-sufficient adults. We are an independent, 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization that serves to instill hope in the youth we serve.
